This is a great book for anyone looking for a lost cat. I wish I had had this book when I lost my cat, Bob about 7 years ago. Bob never returned. I lost my cat over memorial day weekend. Using the advice from this book, I was able to find my cat after he was gone for 2 days. The book recommends checking the yards of your immediate neighbors YOURSELF. I had asked my neighbors to check their garage and they said they did a couple of times. Finally my husband and I asked if WE could look. We found our cat within a couple minutes of looking in their garage. If we had trusted them and continued looking elsewhere, our cat could still be stilling their silent in the raptors of our neighbor's garage in 100 degree heat, hungry and dehydrated.Thank you so much for this book and giving our search focus!

How to Find a Lost Cat advice from a pet detective edition by Kim Freeman Crafts Hobbies Home eBooks Reviews
Words cannot express our gratitude to Kimberley Freeman for helping us find our cat Pita. When your indoor cat runs out the front door at night and disappears during a sub-freezing cold front, panic and helplessness set in pretty quickly. After Pita had been gone for about 12 hours, we began an Internet search of the best ways to find a lost cat. I was initially skeptical of all the pet finder services that popped up, given how there are predators out there who will take advantage of people when they are at their weakest. When I saw Kimberley's information listed on the Austin Pets Alive website, I felt confident in pursuing her help since APA is such a reputable steward for pets.
Kimberley is no joke. She has expertise and training that is not common knowledge. She helped guide us in the right things to do, and lead us away from the typical mistakes that people make when searching for their lost cat. The woman knows how to think like a cat, and is able to take charge while you might be operating on an entirely emotional level (which I was).
Since we ran out of daylight so quickly on her first day of searching with her, she was back the next day to resume the search. While searching a neighbors shed, Kimberley paid notice to some nearby bird chatter. We followed that lead and there we found our cat stuck in a tree! Would the average person know to listen for bird chatter to find their missing cat? We never would have thought of that. She also helped us get her out of the tree in a way that prevented her from escaping and disappearing again. Thanks to her, we had Our Pita back in less than 48 hours.
We are so very grateful for Kimberley's help and give her the highest recommendation. If you've lost your cat, do not hesitate to hire her!
If you are like us and view your pets as your children, you will find this to be the best money you ever spent! [...]

I lost my cat a few years ago, and after he returned safe and sound I thought, I'm an expert on this, there's nothing much you can tell me that I don't already know about lost cats - you put up posters, you visit the pound, you call her name, you cry a lot - simple. In fact I picked up How To Find A Lost Cat less to learn something then to exalt in the fact that I too was such an incredible cat whisperer. How wrong I was. How To FInd a Lost Cat is of a different order entirely - full of very insightful action plans, with astute explanations of cat psychology. If your cat is lost, pick up this book immediately. I wish I'd had it when my cat went missing, that's for sure. I realize now that there was so much I should have done differently. I was just lucky that my cat returned safe and sound. But luck often isn't enough when your beloved feline is out there in the great unknown. I've recommended this book to two people who I heard lost cats, and I'll keep recommending it.
It gave some good ideas, some were a bit over the top but we tried as many as possible, still didn't find my cat (
I liked that this book had some good tips that I hadn't learned in other books, online or from the pet detective I hired to help find my lost cat (yes, that's a real thing).
HATED all of the grammar, punctuation, and spelling issues. Made me nutty to read it.
It is a very helpful suggestions how to find a lost cat . Thank you so much to the author. We found our lost cat after I red this amazing book.
My cat got out of the cat carrier in front of the vets 5 miles from home.I looked for 5 -6 hr called out his name.Got small posters made up fast and put them up.I came home sick after no luck.Downloaded this book for help. After 10 min I had new ways of looking.Went back to the place I last saw him last. After 1 hr I got my Cubbie back.He was missing for 9 hr in total. Thank you.
I am so thankful for Ms. Freeman's knowledge and experience. My cat had been missing for over a month, was 2 years old and was always an indoor cat. I tried just about all the methods described in the book; so much of the material was not new. What helped was reading her consistent message throughout the book do not give up, and indoor cats do not travel beyond 4-5 house radius. After spending a lot of money, trying multiple methods, recruiting friends to help, and depleting myself, I became greatly discouraged and "hit the wall." I had just about lost all hope. After reading Ms. Freeman's book, it renewed my hope. I called the dog tracking service one more time (the 3rd time) and three strong scent spots were detected. Hence, traps were set. A few days later; Shyloh was home! He lost considerable weight, but had no wounds, injuries or any evidence of cat fighting. When I think about how close, I was to giving up, I am certain he would have died of starvation. Thank you, Ms. Freeman for your wise counsel.
