I was going to give this five stars, but something that happened towards the end irritated me so much that it lost a star. In my opinion, if you're kidnapped and left alone in a room for over half an hour and you have your phone in your pocket and your not tied up or anything, the logical thing to do would be to CALL FOR HELP!! She knew she had the phone because she mentions it in the car about how she was trying to sneakily lower the volume of the ringtone. Then she sits in a room by herself and just waits. Then her uncle comes in and asks her for her phone and she hands it over. She doesn't hide it in her shoe and pretend she doesn't have it. But come on, she was alone and untied in this room for quite a while and she didn't call anyone! What the hell's the matter with her? Totally kinda ruined the end of the book for me because I was so annoyed. Other than that, the writing was pretty good. Sometimes it got a bit long winded and I found myself skipping paragraph after paragraph. But overall, I did enjoy it.

Usually, I know exactly how to review a book but I'm having a little difficulty with this one because the author set up storylines like trap doors. She leads you down a path and just when you think she's going to clear something up - SLAM- you get no clarification. However, in spite of this I sort of enjoyed this book Deacon is the savior of this story because he is so hot, I mean wow! He's gorgeous, alpha, protective, sweet, sexy and complicated. My kind of MC hero! Once he meets Ella, hes full steam ahead. While Ella is at times naive, she is really sweet and funny, especially when she is drunk. She is sexually adventurous and is not shy about taking care of her own needs! She is beautiful and dedicated to her hippy family and a really great friend. I love MC stories and this one has a lot of action and some familiar MC themes. Ella's Dad's storyline was a little confusing. I was not sure what, exactly he was doing for Deacon's club, was he running drugs, keeping secrets for them, providing courier services or what?? I never figured it out. The strongest part of this story is the romance between Deacon and Ella. It was blazing hot and romantic. Deacon's brothers and Dad were interesting, although there were a lot of gaps in their parts of the story. I guess this was intentional and leaves room for their own books. I felt that the Epilogue revealed way too much in advance of future books. This book was good but needed a little more refinement. Deacon's brother Spencer was an interesting character and I'm looking forward to reading his story.
OMG! I still can’t believe that I found this book by 'accident'.
Someone mentioned, on facebook, that she was reading an MC book so I decided to read the blurb of the mentioned book. The blurb immediately appealed to me so then I decided to buy the book and read it. I’m so happy that I made that decision because after reading and loving the MC series from Kristen Ashley so much, I was looking for something alike but I discovered very soon that this was very hard to find. Or maybe I was just too demanding? (I wanted a MC series with an alpha man who also had a sweet side, a goofy woman but someone who would also stand up for what she believed in, the side characters (friends and family) were also important and I wanted no cheating and my happy ending). So you can imagine my surprise and happiness when I discovered that this book had it all and even more!

Ella never expected to find her ‘prince charming’ in a gas station/convenience store line-up but the moment that she sees the beautiful biker standing just before her, she can’t take her eyes of him. And she isn’t the only one! The beautiful biker seems to take an interest in her too! And then later, he saves her in that same convenience store, when it gets mugged. Ella falls really hard for him. But things won’t be easy for them because Deacon Valentine and his MC family has just moved in town and an existed but rival MC isn’t really happy about this. Very soon it becomes obvious that a war is coming between the both MC’s and it will get very dangerous for everyone involved. And then you have Deacon’s past with women and his terrible mother, his handsome brothers, Ella’s girlfriends and Ella’s ex-boyfriend who is now stalking her. This really is a story filled with passion, drama, suspense and fun (yes, believe it or not but you also have funny situations in this story).
The story is told from Ella’s POV.

SO, If you love Kristen Ashley her books and you don’t mind that the story is a little bit darker then you REALLY, REALLY have to try this book! I’m soooooooooo looking forward to reading the next book in this series, that will be about Deacon’s brother Rider and Ella’s best friend Jenna.
